We are a small farmstead located in east-central South Dakota, where healthy animals, quality products and thoughtful farming come together.
How it started
The Hofer Ranch began with a simple idea
We started over a decade ago in northeast Ohio with the simple idea of knowing the source of things we consume every day and have been fortunate to be able to share the experience with others.
Today, we raise dairy goats, pasture-raised poultry and a few lovable hound dogs that keep life interesting around the farm. Every day we are committed to caring for our animals with respect, providing fresh pasture whenever possible and producing food using responsible farming practices.
Our farm offers pasture-raised meats, farm-fresh eggs, goat milk products and handmade soaps. Whether you're shopping for nourishing food, handcrafted products, or simply looking to support a local South Dakota farm, we're grateful you've chosen us.
We love welcoming visitors, answering questions and sharing what we've learned along the way. Our hope is that every visit inspires a deeper appreciation for local agriculture and encourages others to grow, create and live a little closer to the land.
